Looking for an exterior door with a bigger view and more natural light? Good news! We’re adding one to our product offering and it’s smooth edges and wide glass are just two of the reasons we love it.
It’s rare to find a door that offers the versatility Masonite’s Vista Grande does. With an 18% greater viewing area, centered glass, and ADA compliant 10″ bottom rail, this door is suited perfectly for any entry that would benefit from additional natural light. We received many positive responses when we brought a preview of this door along with us to this year’s Minneapolis Home & Garden Show.
The Vista Grande features flush-glazed construction for a clean, contemporary look. The sticking is straight and it has stile and rail feature lines for an authentic wood door appearance. We will initially offer it with Low-E, Chord and Blind Lite glass options. The Low-E glass will be available in 3’0 x 6’8 and 8’0 sizes, the Chord and Blind Lite glass will be available in a 3’0 x 6’8” height. All three glass styles will initially include a 14” wide sidelight option.
In the fall, the versatility of this door will double when we will be able to provide SDL kits and sidelights in 10” and 12”. There will be two SDL widths available; 1 1/8” and 3 ½” bars. The wider, 3 1/2″ bar option is applied horizontally on the door for an updated, modern look. This exterior application looks especially nice with our new E3, equal panel, primed stile and rail doors.
The slimmer, second option for SDLs, measuring 1 1/8″ wide, allows for many unique configurations. It will fit as beautifully on a Victorian home as on a Craftsman, making the Vista Grande door a perfect fit across many architectural style profiles.
