Summary:

As a PLC and Robotic Programmer, you will play a pivotal role in our automation team. You will be responsible for bringing custom automation to life by developing, implementing and troubleshooting PLC and Robotic controlled automation systems designed for various industry sectors. The purpose of this position is to assist the maintenance team in combining the mechanical features of equipment with electrical and robotic (automation) technology.This position is currently offering a $1,500 sign on bonus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Development of PLC, Robot and HMI Programs offline using custom electrical design and mechanical drawings for reference
• Setup and Configuration of network architecture between devices and supporting equipment
• Work in collaboration with project managers, project leads, build leads, mechanical designers, machine tool builders, and electricians to successfully complete projects on time and on budget
• Support factory acceptance testing of equipment and operator maintenance training programs
• Assist maintenance team in combining mechanical and electrical components on existing and new equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Program equipment to meet needed specifications for required outcomes
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on equipment as needed
• Assist in the process of design, fabrication, and implementation of various electrical, robotic, and automated manufacturing equipment

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Assist maintenance team in design, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of manufacturing processes and project completion to ensure quality product completion

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Able to read standard electrical symbols and schematics
• able to wire low voltage AC (120-480V) and extra low DC (24-50V) circuits
• Troubleshooting abilities
• Understanding of Electrical components, operation, and troubleshooting
• Above average computer skills

Credentials and Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar trade
• Vision Guided Robotics - Custom & Standard Platforms
• Data Management - Database Integration with PLC
• UNIX configuration, shell scripting
• Python or other related programming language
