Summary:

This position is responsible for the application of finish coatings to wood, steel, and fiberglass products (doors, frames, stair parts, etc.). Perform quality checks and ensure customer satisfaction on all products. Maintain paint booth and all spray equipment in an acceptable manner. Pay Range: $22.00 – 30.00/ hr. The pay rate is subject to experience and qualifications. Benefits: 401(k) - 401(k) matching - Dental insurance - Health insurance - Paid time off. Sign On Bonus: $1500.

• Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete painting and finishing of wood, steel, and fiberglass products as ordered
  • Maintain appropriate levels of paint and supplies for work station
  • General spray equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • Quality check of product throughout process

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proper and consistent spray technique
  • Identify and know colors
  • Product knowledge
  • Reading paperwork
  • Good communication

• Credentials and Experience:

  • Previous experience in paint booth / spray position (staining, painting, and finishing)
  • Knowledge or experience with surface preparation and basic understanding of coating chemistry
  • Quality driven and understand quality processes
  • High School Diploma
  • Post-Secondary education or experience preferred

• Special Requirement:

  • Scheduled work hours are based on seasonality of Bayer Built Woodworks, Inc.
    • 2nd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, typically begins at 4pm
