Electrical Programmer

Summary:

The purpose of this position is to assist the maintenance team in combining the mechanical features of equipment with electrical and robotic (automation) technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist maintenance team in combining mechanical and electrical components in existing and new equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Program equipment to meet needed specifications for required outcomes
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on equipment as needed
• Fabricate electrical panels as needed to meet required specifications
• Assist in the process of design, fabrication, and implementation of various electrical, robotic, and automated manufacturing equipment
• Assist maintenance team in design, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of manufacturing processes and project completion to ensure quality product completion

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Above average computer skills
• UNIX configuration, shell scripting
• Python or other related programming language
• Understanding of electrical components, operation, and troubleshooting

Credentials and Experience:

• Post-secondary education or training in programming languages, robotics, and/or mechatronics 
• At least 3-5 years indudstry experience
