Bayer Built's Commitment to the Environment...

Bayer Built Woodworks is a non-manufacturing distributor of extraordinary millwork products located in rural West Central Minnesota. Bayer Built Woodworks' roots date back to the early 1950's, when farming drove the local economy. Our tradition of providing extraordinary millwork and service began in the early 1980's. It was very clear from the beginning that our connection to a rich tradition of farming would provide us the groundwork to build a company with an intimate understanding of our role concerning the environment.

We, along with our vendor partners, are committed to doing all we can to protect the environment. Bayer Built has strong relationships with our vendor partners and together we are in full support of the green movement. Within these partnerships is a level of commitment to not only providing green products, but also implementing green practices into our daily routines. It can be as easy as recycling paper or as extreme as air drying wood or with high efficiency boilers fired by recycled saw dust rather than fossil fuels. Every little bit helps, which is why we are always looking for other ways to reduce our carbon footprint.

Bayer Built Woodworks is proud to offer a range of environmentally-friendly products. We are committed to offering products and components that meet or exceed industry performance standards for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. It is our belief that a healthy environment and a healthy business go hand-in-hand; we are committed to stewardship in the protection of our environment.

Low-E glass works by reflecting heat back to its source, by utilizing an ultra thin metallic coating on or in the glass. This means that the heat is reflected back into your home in the winter to keep it warm and away from your home in the summer to keep it cool. Low-E glass still allows visible light through, brightening your home; only invisible infrared light is reflected. Low-E glass is available on a range of Acclimated Entry Systems - start seeing the benefits now.

All of our Standard Process & Ultra Process stain colors utilize water based stains and water based UV Seal and Top Coats. These products produce zero harmful emissions (no VOCs) and are applied with automated equipment that reclaims overspray. Reclaimed overspray can then be reused, dramatically reducing waste.

Bayer Built strives each and every day to research, test, and adopt environmentally responsible products and practices without compromising quality. With this commitment in mind you can rest assured, knowing you are making a better choice for the environment when you choose to pre-finish with Bayer Built Woodworks.
