It is getting to be that time of year again – the season of giving is upon us! This time of year, when the temperatures drop and the decorations come out, is the perfect time to think about those in your community who might be less fortunate than you are and consider what you can do to help them out.
We recently hosted a food drive at our facility; we even made it into a contest to see which team could bring in the most food. Well we certainly have some competitive team members in our facility because as a group we brought in more than 2,800 pounds of food – all of which will be donated to local food shelves. That will certainly go a long ways towards helping those in our community!!
So what can you do to give back to your community? Are there local food drives? Giving trees? Toy drives? I’m sure there are some Salvation Army bell ringers around town. Bless those around you this season – it doesn’t have to be anything huge, every little bit helps and goes a long ways towards making the season a little brighter for someone else.
